I compiled a list of my favorite Youtube channels! I watch these pretty much daily.
I’m discovering some things about myself as I make this list. I’m surprised at how similar all these channels are. I like to think that I follow a range of topics, but nope. Obviously not. I like funny, cartoon, and learning. Not much else.
I guess I just like to make sure my time is well spent on making those “magic moments.” You could watch a lot of these by yourself, but if I’m honest I love these channels because they make great videos to watch together with friends and family.
I try to watch pretty much clean videos–no inappropriate words or images. Some might make references now and then, but for the most part, they’re pretty clean. At least they were when I posted this. If that changes since I made this post, I’m sorry. If there are any major flaws with this list then please shoot me a message.
And by clean, I mean clean for adults like me. I’m not sure what your rules are for kids. That’s totally up to you. I don’t have kids yet so I can’t really recommend any kid-friendly content. My best guess for kid-friendly is Mr. A-Game, Lucas the Spider, Studio C, Skit Guys, Dude Perfect, and TheOdd1sOut.
The first thing you’ll notice about this list is that I love to laugh. A lot. Most of these are funny, amusing, or cartoony.
The second thing is that I love to learn. Some are funny and education, others are purely educational.
If you love science, random facts to impress your friends, nerdy stuff, markers, cartoons, and lots of laughs, this list is definitely for you!
25 Best YouTube Channels
Type: cartoons, funny, stories
Clean: yes, with maybe a few mildly bad words and a few references
Other channels: TheOdd2sOut
He has an easy-to-follow style of art and storytelling. His amazing humor and valuable take on life are sure to put a smile on everyone’s face time and time again. Its great for cheering yourself up from a long day at work, starting a memorable conversation with your friends, inspiring your artistic side, teaching kids valuable life lessons, or simply having a good laugh with your family.
Type: Gaming, funny, reviews
Clean: yes, with some rare dirty jokes. He has a few scary or gory games he reviews. I don’t watch those.
Other channels: PBG Gameplay
I am so happy I found this channel! Whether I am interested in the content or not, every video has me on the edge of my seat and laughing. The unique, random editing style and script puts a refreshing spin on anything he talks about. It’s sure to spark many memorable moments or inspire you to pick up a game you haven’t played in a while.
Type: Gameplay, funny
Clean: he’s a school worker so YES. He says he makes his channel for kids. Zero bad words or images.
I’ll admit–half the reason I love this channel is for the Australian accent. I also love the peace of mind knowing that without a doubt his content will be family-friendly and clean. His editing style adds a humorous touch that keeps me always coming back for more. I especially love his BOtW and Mario Maker videos. My husband I and always enjoy watching them together after a long day at work.
Type: Random internet videos/facts
Clean: yes, which I think is pretty impressive
Everyone needs their daily dose of coffee and internet. Now, with this channel, you can get your dose in a pretty-wrapped package! Its clean, funny, inspiring, educational, and every other random thing you can think of. It’s just the thing you need to leave you with a smile to start off your day.
Clean: generally yes, depending on the content. Some, such as “How WW1 Got Women to Start Wearing Bras,” are not, but only out of context and necessity. No bad words though.

I’m a sucker for accents, but that’s not the only reason I love this channel. Its very well researched and answers every question well. My favorite videos are the history and science ones. I can’t get enough of learning random facts that they didn’t teach me in school. No matter how much I think I know, he always comes to prove how little I really do know.
Type: funny animation
This needs no introduction. You must see it for yourself. Be warned: you’ll get cuteness overload!
Type: Olan Rogers
Clean: um… sort of. There are a few references and bad words, mostly in the storytelling videos
I linked to the very first Olan Rogers video I saw: the Lion’s Blaze. It comes in 3 parts and I’ve watched it many times since. Along with random skits and humor, he also has many videos where he simply sits down with the camera and tells a story. There is no other way to describe him other than… he’s Olan Rogers. He does not post much anymore, sadly, but that’s understandable. He has published a new cartoon series called “Final Space,” which is airing on tv. I’ve seen a few clips and its GONNA BE SO AWESOME!!!
Type: family-friendly comedy shorts
If I could recommend just one YouTube channel to subscribe to, it would be Studio C. It’s clean, family-friendly comedy. Didn’t think such a thing could even exist? Well, we’ve all been proven wrong!
Type: family-friendly comedy and devotional shorts
I’m proud to say that “Christian” and “fun” are once again united in the capable hands of the Skit Guys. They do church media content (announcements and such), funny skits, devotional skits, and more. Everything they do has a refreshingly unique spin on it. It hits deep and inspires. They obviously love what they do, and I look forward to many more great skits to come.
Type: Disney theories, nerdy stuff, and lots of fun
It’s a very simple setup: two brothers take turns making videos for each other about mostly nerdy things. I never get tired of listening to the way they explain their topic. It’s sure to inspire many fun conversations.
Type: Science behind nerdy stuff
Clean: yes, as far I know. I haven’t watched most of their videos yet.
My husband mostly watches this one. He uses a marker to draw pictures of what he’s explaining. I can’t always keep up with the complicated math and science, but the conclusions and the animates are fun to watch unfold. They love to have fun and throw humor in as well.
Type: Movie Parody Comedy
Clean: depends on the movie they’re making the parody for. Obviously, I don’t watch the parodies of bad movies. Of the ones that I do watch, there may be a few references. It’s pretty infrequent.
Its an official family tradition of ours. Every time we see the latest movie, immediately afterward we gather to watch the HISHE version of it. Whether you loved or hated the movie, just being able to watch the HISHE version is worth every penny! We especially enjoy the Super Cafe with Superman and Batman talking over coffee.
Type: science and education
Clean: Yes! I really think he’s a Christian but I can’t prove it yet.
Who likes slow-motion? You’re in for a real treat! Fasten your seatbelt. We’re going to discover the deeper truth behind the science in everyday life. Then watch it unfold in incredible slow-motion replays. This is definitely the place to get “smarter every day”!
I never get tired of hearing “stay curious” at the end of every video. The information is easy to follow, has fun graphics, and interesting topics. It’s heavily evolutionary but still worth watching if you want to learn about our amazing universe.
Type: Christian homeschooler comedy/sarcasm/life lessons
I hardly think of Blimey Cow as a YouTube channel. They’re so much more than that, which is probably why I nearly forgot to put them in this list! Being a Christian homeschooler myself, hanging out with them feels like home. I’m not the only one who loves this channel though! They have a true mastery of sarcasm that they use to bring out the deeper truths in life. Whether you agree with their point or not, it will leave you laughing and thinking every time!
Clean: mostly, but sometimes throw in references, jokes, or words
I’m mostly referring to the Epic How To videos they produce. This series just makes my life SO much better! The channel also has “Reforged” videos where you get to watch professionals design and forge fictional nerdy weapons. The best part is watching them smash things with it at the end!
Quick, easy-to-follow courses on tough subjects.
Other Channels: Ted-Ed, Ted
I hope everyone watches at least a few of these videos. They feature many inspiring speeches given by many talented people. These have more than once changed my whole outlook on life! Many talks hit you right at the core and cause you to reconsider some things. Definitely worth checking out!
This is my favorite educational science channel. I like their intro theme song a lot too. They have answered a lot of my numerous questions about life and science. In some ways, they have added even more questions. I love discovering new things!
Clean: yes, but he uses some strong wording. But that’s what makes Dave Ramsey so… Dave Ramsey.
My husband has watched just about every video. I shudder to think of where we would be without Dave Ramsey’s teaching and resources. My husband has taken to heart much of the basic wisdom about handling money. We use his budgeting app, EveryDollar, and we have bought two of his books. We’re well on our way to becoming debt-free and being able to live our dreams!
Type: trick shots
Clean: Yes! And they’re Christian!
You’re not gonna believe your eyes. They pull off the most amazing trick shots you’ll ever see. And none of it is fake! It’s all real! That’s why they erupt in screams after every shot because they have been trying to get it perfect for hours or even days.
Type: nerdy facts and education
Clean: The channel itself is clean, but the content they examine may not be. I’d say for the most part it is pretty clean though.
My husband watches this mostly. If you’re as big a nerd as he is, you’ll pride yourself in knowing the facts and history explained in this channel.
Type: comedy and weirdness
Clean: yes, except for the occasional small reference or word
I can’t even begin to try explaining this channel. You’ll have to see for yourself.
Type: game reviews
Clean: yes, except for a few of the games he reviews
Again, this is one of my husband’s favorite channels. I don’t even like watching gaming reviews, but this guy is awesome! He is fun to watch, fun to listen to, fun to engage with. This video I link to is one my favorites. He doesn’t make gaming reviews for YouTube anymore though because he moved them to Amazon Prime. You could also get them on Patreon by giving as little as a $1/month.
Type: worship music sessions
When I need some worship music, I usually just let WorshipMob play for hours. Their sessions are usually about 10-15 minutes long and full of anointing. I’m so glad I found them!

This is my husband’s channel! He plays games and throws in life-advice along the way. He wants to be the amazing big brother people need. His games are clean and rated T and under. He may make a few exceptions for some rated M games, but he will edit out any excessive images or words.
The Journey of a Worldbuilder. There’s never been anything like it: watching a brand new world be shaped right before your eyes from the perspective of the author. The channel aims to inspire other authors, artists, and world-builders to achieve their dreams.
