My name is Tia 😀 I was a homeschooled, small-town pastor’s kid from the back of the desert. I moved to Missouri several years ago where I met my best friend and future husband, Chris.
I teach basic worship team piano skills–reading music, playing by ear, hymns, contemporary, spontaneous, or all of the above. Wherever I can, I love to help equip worship team members–from the brand new recruits to the seasoned warriors–so they can freely worship God in the midst of inevitable chaos.
I’ve served on worship teams for over 15 years in a wide range of tastes, ages, styles, skill levels, cultures, and denominations. I’ve even been a worship leader for a few years.
It’s a tough job, but I love it–chaos and all! It’s amazing to see how the dedicated people I worked with trusted God to pull through in the midst of it all. God is faithful and worthy of all our praise! I’ve learned many things along the way that I’m excited to share with you.
I want to make resources, lessons, and help available for any worship team member who wants it. Either I’ll help them myself or I’ll find someone else who can.
I don’t want any worship team musician to feel alone, without help, or without encouragement. If there’s anything you need, let me know! If I don’t have the answer, I’ll try to find someone who does.
My passion is to see musicians able to give God their full attention without worrying over missing chords, changing keys, lost rhythm, poor skills, new songs, or any other inevitable chaos.
Let’s do this!
